This policy explains how YourHealthXpert governs UK health content to reduce harm, improve accuracy, and support safer patient decision-making.
1) Clinical governance scope
- Applies to all health information pages, guides, and safety checklists.
- Uses UK-focused language and references where medically relevant.
- Prioritises patient safety, informed consent, and transparent risk communication.
2) Evidence and review controls
- Medical claims are checked against reputable evidence (including NHS/NICE where relevant).
- High-risk topics require medical review before publication or major updates.
- Material updates are documented with review dates.
3) Patient safety escalation language
Where clinically appropriate, content includes clear UK escalation routes: call 999 for emergencies and contact NHS 111 for urgent medical advice.
4) Incident and correction process
If a potentially harmful error is identified, we prioritise immediate correction, add visible update notes where needed, and follow our Corrections Policy and Complaints Policy.
