Owner: YourHealthXpert Editorial Team with medical reviewer oversight.
This policy explains how YourHealthXpert uses AI-assisted drafting while keeping human editorial and medical oversight for UK patient information.
Our principle
AI can support structure, summarisation, and readability checks, but it does not replace clinician judgement, evidence review, or final editorial accountability.
What AI may be used for
- Draft outlines and content structure suggestions.
- Plain-English rewrites for accessibility and readability.
- Internal consistency checks across policy and guide pages.
What AI is not allowed to do
- Publish content without human approval.
- Create uncited medical claims or guaranteed-outcome language.
- Replace medical reviewer sign-off on high-risk pages.
Human oversight requirements
- Named author and reviewer metadata on relevant pages.
- NHS/NICE-aligned language checks where applicable.
- Corrections workflow through our Corrections Policy.
- Escalation language retained for urgent care: contact NHS 111, and in emergencies call 999.
